It is refreshing to find an article about SEO that is thorough and not overly focused on the latest fad or latest algorithm changes. I try to keep abreast of all manner of ideas and approaches to SEO so I am continually crawling for articles, blogs etc (‘crawling’ — me and GoogleBot tread the same paths :)).
There are so many contradictions depending upon whom you invest your trust, which expert or website full of experts you decide knows best or has the insider info.
I am a self taught web developer, utilizing OS where practicable, with 6 of my own eCommerce websites and 4 shops in the Etsy platform. Most of these ventures rank and perform well but having said that they will fluctuate — and dealing with those fluctuations when you thought you had it all sorted is an ongoing challenge.
Your article shed some light for me in respect to areas I may need to improve upon or change emphasis on — the advantage of not assuming you have it beaten.
And I unashamedly take advantage of any situation that presents itself, like commenting here, to promote my websites via links to them (I’m a believer that a lot of small fish make a big meal) — so I have inserted some links below.
I enjoyed your article — kudos to you.
and now for some shameless self promotion :) (endorsed by any proponent of SEO worth their salt)
